Application Test

I was required to find a creative way to sell a tomato.

Ode to a Tomato

What is that about there?

So round and plump and not at all square.

With a color so fair

There's no way I'll ever share

This tomato and I know it is unfair

But it's all mine and I don't care.

The Beginning - By Justin Fanton

Death is not the end, it is the beginning
As ones mortal coil is thinning
A whole new world full of loved ones and memories
German shepherds, family members, friends
In the afterlife there is no need to make amends

You are born Anew, a vessel remade
The colors of your soul bright with every shade
The living mourn, knowing not what is to come
The dead watch from above, their glowing eyes gleaming with love
This is not the end, it is the beginning
The mortal coil was always meant to be thinning
Then cut and set free.

Copywriting Assignment 1

2021

I was tasked to use the fundamental principles of copywriting to describe the last Item I bought in a way that would make a reader want to purchase it.

Product: Playstation 5

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a powerful armor-clad Viking raiding towns through a river? Does rampaging through the different realms of Nordic mythology as the Greek god of war tickle your fancy? Look no further than the PlayStation 5 with a performance as fast as a locomotive, there will be virtually no stops traveling between Midgard and Asgard.

The PlayStation 5 blends together state-of-the-art software and build with immersive gaming. The graphics alone make you feel like you are holding the great ax instead of Kratos. It comes with a comfortable controller sporting a fine-tuned touchpad that feels like it could be an extra limb. It towers over the previous generations of consoles in how it plays and in physical stature. The size is not a problem since it has a sleek design reembling that of sail and it makes zero noise in comparison to its previous counterpart. Gaming has never been this simple.

You'll never have to worry about waking up your significant other with the whirrs and rumbles that used to emanate from previous consoles. Just remember to keep those battle cries to a minimum.

Character Concept Thundar Rockheart

January 2021

I devised a concept around a fictional character set within the fantasy world of Dungeons and Dragons:

Sometimes the call of heroes knocks at your door and you have no choice other than to let it in.
I am being prepped to become Moradin's champion. I was separated from my parents at an early age to begin living at the temple of Moradin where I spent my childhood studying the art of smithing from all of the best blacksmiths the mountain Dwarves had to offer, as well as a few kind travelers from different races. I have pledged myself to be a servant and champion to Moradin and as proof of this pledge, I will create the finest tomes with detailed descriptions of smithing from each and every race that I encounter.

I have no regrets in my life however, I was never able to meet my biological parents since they were presumed killed after a particularly vicious orcish raid in the town I was born in. It is because of this that I am particularly mistrusting of Orcs and have dedicated some of my free time to studying their culture and beliefs in the hopes that my parents could still be alive and well and that one day I will finally be able to reunite with them and show them the dwarf that I have become.

Character Concept Illiadin Ilphakiir

February 2021

I developed a second fictional character concept devised within the world of Dungeons and Dragons:

My name is Illiadin Ilphakiir and I was once a peaceful person. I performed my duties as an acolyte to Solonor Thelandira impeccably and was praised for my devotion. This devotion did nothing for me the day when my village was attacked by humans.

These humans wanted to ransack our forest and use its natural resources, my village and I had managed to hold them back and attempted to pacify their urges with peaceful negotiations. This usually would have worked since the village only appears in this certain forest thrice a year and our people can transition between the dimensions at will however, on the third appearance at midnight the humans had prepared a major ambush.

During the massacre I had prayed to Solonor, begging her for any form of power or ability to stop this bloodshed and save my people. I received nothing back. I ended up being the only one spared from the massacre, kept as a trophy and a slave to these wretches.

Months later when I reached my lowest point, the goddess of vengeance, Lolth, approached me in my dreams and enticed me with an offer. She told me she would give me the power to wreak havoc and get the revenge I so desperately craved as long as I abandoned Solonor, which I had already done months ago. She paired me with a hell-fiend and my past was left in the smoldering wreckage littered with the bodies of those who had thought had broken me.
